This Peanuts Girls/Snoopy Skating lunch box is metal with a plastic handle. It was #1 of a series made in China in 1999.
With images of the Peanuts girls, Snoopy, and Woodstock ice-skating on the front and back of the box as well as images on the 4 sides of the box, this brightly colored lunch box is still in its original shrink-wrap packaging. It was never opened to remove the 5 ounces of candy distributed by American Specialty Confections, Inc., in Eagan MN inside.
The lunch box is about 7-5/8 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 2-3/4 inches deep. There are no dents or discoloration and the graphics are still vivid.
My sister loved anything related to the Peanuts Gang - especially Snoopy - and like this lunch box never even took them out of the packaging. Although it is unusual to find her Peanuts collectibles with the candy still inside, I wouldn't even consider eating - or even opening the packaging - of the 27-year old candy now.
This lunch box is in very good - like new - condition and perfect for fans of vintage lunch boxes or Peanuts memorabilia. It is ready to use (although don't eat the candy), or to add to a collection or display all on its own in the original shrink-wrap packaging.
