This beautiful antique French mount would originally have come from an armoire or mirror and dates from the 1800's. It would look amazing just hung on a wall or as a centre piece on a curtain pelmet. Fixed above a bed it could form part of a ciel de lit from which to drape curtains. It would also look superb on a console table displayed with other architectural treasures.

The mount is made in gilded metal. It is in the shape of a fabulous three dimensional bow with flying ribbon tails.

The gilding has mellowed to a dark atmospheric hue.

The mount has a bolt for fixing to a wall or pelmet.

It measures:- 24.5 cm (9.6 inches) wide x 10 cm (3.9 inches) high.
