Antique W & E Corn covered vegetable dish in the Chrysanthemum pattern, English, circa 1900–1904.
A lovely late Victorian/Edwardian serving dish decorated in a flowing grey-blue transfer with gilt highlights to the handles, finial and rims. Back Stamped W. & E. Corn, England, Porcelaine Royal, Chrysanthemum — a Staffordshire maker (Burslem), and this particular mark dates the piece to roughly 1900–1904, so it's around 120 years old.
Generous oval form with moulded scroll handles and a matching lidded top with loop finial. Displays beautifully and would suit a dresser, a blue-and-white collection, or table use as a showpiece.
Dimensions: 29 cm long (handle to handle) x 19 cm wide x 12 cm high (approx. 11.4" x 7.5" x 4.7"). Weight: 1249 g.
