The tool features two long pivoting arms and a curved cutting jaw designed to shear through the nut when the handles are closed. The body is heavily cast and decorated with circular and geometric engraving typical of South Asian and Persian metalwork. The piece shows age and use consistent with a late 19th to early 20th century functional tool that was also made as a decorative object. Seems to be in working order.
