Description

This is a vintage Seiko Precision pocket watch, a model line strongly connected with Japan’s railway watch history.

Japan’s railway system has long been known for its extremely precise timekeeping.
The Seiko Precision / 19 Seiko pocket watch series is one of Seiko’s most respected Japanese pocket watch lines, and it is highly regarded by collectors in Japan.

This type of large Seiko pocket watch is commonly known in Japan as “19 Seiko”, a name derived from its 19-size movement.
The series is especially popular among collectors of Japanese railway watches, Seiko history, and vintage Japanese mechanical watches.

This example has a wonderful antique character.
The dial features large stylized Arabic numerals, blue-colored hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial marked “SECOND SETTING DIAFLEX”.

The case shows heavy age-related wear, plating loss, scratches, rust, and patina.
However, these signs of age give the watch a very authentic antique atmosphere and make it especially attractive as a vintage display or restoration piece.

The movement is signed “SEIKOSHA”, an older Seiko-related marking, which gives this piece a particularly strong historical character.
The combination of the Seiko Precision dial, Seikosha movement marking, Second Setting Diaflex text, beautifully aged patina, and 50 mm case makes this a very appealing piece for collectors.

The watch was previously running, but it is now fully wound and does not run.
The crown cannot be wound further.
For this reason, it is sold as a non-working vintage watch for repair, restoration, or collection.

The dial has age-related stains and marks, but it still retains a very charming vintage appearance.
Please check all photos carefully.
