King Master cornet in really nice playing condition. The best feature of this particular horn is the valves are absolutely perfect and play perfectly with Ultra Pure Ultra Light oil. They do not rub or get sluggish at all, ever.
There is a modest size dent under the bell as shown, should be easy for someone to tap straight. Small dent on end of first valve slide.
I bought this knowing there was corrosion of some sort on the second valve casing, I used some Brasso and a Q-tip to gently remove about 95% of it with no underlying issues and doesn’t affect playing at all.
The pins on the water keys are slightly bent but should be able to get straightened. They work properly and doesn’t affect operation of water keys.
The micro tuner on main tuning slide works perfectly. Lacquer is about 90% and a nice somewhat brown patina has developed. Comes with a non-descriptive short shank mouthpiece and is only marked W. It is similar to an Equa-tru 36 ( which I have listed separately).
The worst part about this horn is the case, very musty and in my opinion unusable. I don’t store the horn in its case here. Maybe you have a way to fix this but I don’t. All of that said, I really don’t mind if it doesn’t sell, I don’t really play cornet but this will be a top notch example once detailed by a brass tech. Any questions please ask.
