1985 Ford Granada Scorpio.. Colour transparency. Medium Format.
This is a duplicate transparency from a Ford archive original. Made for me in the 1980s when I searched the company’s archives for a book project.
When selecting images, I sought to get bucolic scenes that were previously unpublished. I also made selections of certain interior shots as an alternative to the usual monochrome.
Since making the original selections, some have been published by me, for articles and the eventual book. Some have been seen elsewhere because Ford staff did not always replace the originals in the correct locations but rather kept them available as lazy “stock photo” choices.
The transparencies are all large format, which makes for excellent reproduction, as photographs or posters.
Formats are SMALL, which is 120 roll film, 2.25 inches square, or 6x6 centimetres.
MEDIUM, which is 5 x 4 inches.
LARGE is 7 x 5 inches.
These are overall film sizes, images are marginally smaller. All measurements are APPROXIMATE.
YOU CANNOT BUY THESE ELSEWHERE. Ford transferred all photographic archive to Beaulieu, which has made available only an infinitesimal fraction of the total volume of images.
