Conn Silver Plated Piccolo -  this is a vintage piccolo in the key of D Flat. The inscription under the barrel reads: 44-P-232474-D-L.

I looked up the model 44P on the Conn piccolo list and it says it is in the key of D Flat and dates between 1955 and 1962.

The length of the piccolo fully assembled is 30 cm.

All the keys move well and easily. The pads are very old and will need to be replaced. This piccolo will need to be serviced before playing it.

There is a beautiful engraving of a flower on the underneath of the barrel.

There is a metal protector sleeve which fits over the end of the headjoint. This has to be removed before inserting the headjoint into the barrel.

The piccolo box is made of wood covered by leather. There are a couple of tiny holes in the top of the box and the leather covering is quite worn in places.
