Antique 19th century handmade ivory / ecru colored silk Victorian ladies' mob cap with floral lace trim, beautifully preserved inside thick clear resin (lucite?) shadow box style frame. 

Silk has stunning pintuck pleat detailing & fabulous sheen.  Lace has an intricate floral rose detail pattern.  Small silk rosettes on a ring adorn the edge of the cap just above the lace brim. 

Possibly worn as a bridal hat.  Truly looks like a museum quality piece!  

Frame measures 18" x 12" x 2 3/4".
