The Premier piccolo snare drum is a shallow-depth drum, typically measuring “in diameter and 4” deep. Renowned for their crisp attack, they deliver a high-pitched, cutting "crack" and rapid response, making them ideal as primary snares or highly expressive auxiliary effects.

Because of the shallow profile, the shell interacts less with the drumhead, yielding fewer overtones and a highly focused, punchy sound.

Designed to be cranked tight, these drums deliver the snappy, cutting voice necessary to punch through a dense live mix.
