Antique Victorian cranberry glass bowl set within an ornate brass frame decorated with grapevine, leaves and grape clusters, complete with its original swing handle.
A beautiful late Victorian decorative piece, featuring rich ruby cranberry glass housed in an intricate cast brass mount raised on three feet. Originally intended as a bon bon dish, sweetmeat basket or table centrepiece, it makes a striking display item.
The bowl retains its original deep cranberry colour, which contrasts beautifully with the aged brass surround. The decorative vine and grape motif is particularly attractive and typical of the Victorian period.

Condition
The cranberry glass bowl has been cracked and previously repaired with adhesive, with the repair clearly visible in the photographs. The brass frame has an attractive aged patina with light wear consistent with age. The swing handle moves freely.
Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition report.
Despite the historic repair, this remains a highly decorative antique piece and displays beautifully.
