Offered for sale is a superb 1969 Tissot Seastar T.12 Chronograph in excellent overall condition.

This is the desirable larger 42mm stainless steel model with 22mm lugs, giving the watch real wrist presence while retaining its unmistakable late 1960s sporting character. The angular case design and bold proportions make it feel remarkably modern even today.

The original dial presents beautifully, with crisp printing, clean sub registers, and attractive even patina throughout. The lume has aged naturally and suits the watch perfectly, while the hands and markers remain highly attractive overall.

Powering the watch is the Tissot Calibre 871, based on the highly regarded Lemania 1281 manual wind chronograph movement. These movements are well respected for their reliability, smooth chronograph operation, and strong connection to many important Swiss chronographs of the era.

The watch is running strongly and presents exactly as an honest Seastar T.12 should.

Condition & Collectibility

The larger Seastar T.12 chronographs have become increasingly sought after due to their excellent wearable size, strong late 1960s design, and use of the respected Lemania based movement.

Unlike many vintage chronographs from the period, the 42mm case gives the watch genuine presence on the wrist without losing its classic proportions. Honest, well preserved examples are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
