This is an authentic 24-inch single-sided porcelain (SSP) sign featuring the iconic Red Crown logo with the “Patented Oct. 12, 1915” marking below the crown. These early Standard Oil advertising signs are among the most recognizable and desirable pieces of American petroliana.

This sign has never been restored and remains exactly as found, showing decades of honest use. It has significant porcelain loss, exposed steel, and surface oxidation, yet retains excellent color, strong gloss, and outstanding display appeal. The sign is straight and presents beautifully on the wall.

Included is the custom heavy-duty steel hanging display ring shown in the photos. It protects the edge of the sign, makes hanging simple, and gives the piece an impressive display presence. The ring is a later custom addition and is not original to the sign.
