Description

Up for sale is a rare, highly collectible early CD pressing of the iconic 1984 "Ghostbusters" movie soundtrack. This is the sought-after early edition where the disc itself was manufactured in Japan (by Nippon Columbia/Denon or CBS/Sony) for the US market, before US pressing plants were widely established. Features the classic vertical blue Arista logo on the disc face.

💿 ITEM CONDITION SPECIFICS:

Disc (Playback Surface): Very Good+ (VG+). The playing surface is exceptionally clean, with a brilliant mirror-like gloss and minimal to no visible marks. Excellent condition for its age.

Disc (Label Face): Excellent. Bold, crisp text and clean graphics with the "Manufactured in Japan" print clearly visible.

Inlay / Back Cover Artwork: Good / Very Good. Please note that the previous owner made neat handwritten notes in red ink on the back inlay tracklist (marked release years and checkboxes next to some tracks, plus the total runtime "38:09" in the corner). There is also a vintage blue Dymo label tape with the name "ROGER L. SMITH" attached to the right edge of the rear artwork/spine.

Jewel Case: Original vintage smooth-sided jewel case showing normal shelf wear and light scuffs. No major cracks.
