In the late 1970s, Nelson Rockefeller partnered with Mottahedeh and authorised a line of high-quality replicas based on the prized antique porcelain pieces in his estate.

Many were reproduced in Portugal, but this intricate example was produced by artisans in Italy who could replicate the complicated technique used to produce the original ornament -  made circa 1740 by Johann Joachim Kaendler for Meissen. (The Rockefeller Meissen Billing Doves sold for $11,250 in 2018.)

This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
