Technics SL-7 Linear Tracking Full-Automatic Turntable

Up for sale is the legendary Technics SL-7, a highly acclaimed masterwork of linear tracking turntables. Sharing the same high performance as the flagship SL-10, the SL-7 features an acrylic cover design for incredible cost-performance—making it even more popular among audiophiles overseas than its higher-end sibling.

■ Condition & Appearance

  • Status: Fully serviced, fully operational, and working perfectly.
  • Appearance: Overall in beautiful, clean condition (MINT-). As a vintage item, there may be minor, faint scuffs or scratches that do not affect performance. Please see photos for details.
  • Cartridge: Technics P202C
  • Stylus (Needle): Brand-new, unused stylus installed.
  • Accessories: Copy of the instruction manual (Japanese). Built-in power cable and RCA pin cables.

■ Full Maintenance Details

This unit has undergone a comprehensive overhaul to ensure long-term reliability:

  • Tonearm drive mechanism serviced & calibrated.
  • Arm drive motor lubricated.
  • Old grease removed from gears and pulleys, re-greased.
  • Guide rails cleaned and re-greased.
  • Brand-new drive rubber belt installed.
  • Record clamper bearing lubricated.
  • Start point and tracking error angle adjusted.
  • Stylus pressure (tracking force) calibrated.
  • Arm lifter mechanism lubricated.
  • Platter, spindle, bottom plate, and internal/external body thoroughly cleaned and wiped down.

  • Heavyweight Build: Despite its compact size, it weighs a solid 6.6 kg (14.5 lbs) due to its rigid aluminum die-cast upper cabinet and zinc die-cast/TNRC bottom base, providing exceptional vibration dampening and high-fidelity sound.
  • Linear Tracking System: Features a dynamic balance linear tracking tonearm for precise tracing performance regardless of the installation angle. It utilizes an optical sensor near the stylus tip for deflection detection, microcomputer control, gimbal suspension, and slide bearing structures.
  • Drive System: Equipped with Technics' proprietary integrated D.D. (Direct Drive) motor and all-around detection FG for ultra-stable rotation characteristics.
  • Power Supply: AC 100V, 50/60Hz (Please note a voltage converter may be required depending on your country's power standard).

  • We always send the item with a tracking number. So please place an order without any concern on delivery. You can always track the delivery status.
  • Shipping is only available to the address registered in eBay. If you want us to send to another address, please change your address on eBay and then place an order.
  • Shipping is available from Monday to Friday. Weekends are not available because freight (shipping) companies are closed.
  • We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” – Japan, US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
