Up for you consideration is a set of 2015 Tokai PAF-Vintage MK2 Pickups. These came out of a 2015 Tokai ES196, which was the top of the line guitar that Tokai made that year. I don't know a whole lot about these pickups, other than they sound pretty good. If Tokai put them in their top of the line model, that has to say something about them. There are some good YouTube videos of Tokai ES196's from 2014-2016, which all had the same exact model of pickups in them, and their sound is impressive. I swapped pickups when I first got the guitar because I had some early 80's Seymour Duncan's that I planned on using. I have to admit, after watching some of these videos later on, I do wish that I'd spent a little time with them before making the swap. But my loss is your gain.
Take a close look at the pics, as they are part of the description. I took readings of the pickups, and they're shown in the pics. Keep in mind, you may get slightly different results when testing them with your DMM, as things like room temp, humidity levels, etc..., as well well as the brand of DMM you use, will have an effect on the results. Some DMM's are more accurate than others, and I can tell you mine is no top DMM, but it gets the job done, and works well for me. Either way, the readings should be close, so use the readings here to get an idea of what you can expect the pickups to read, or there about. The results I got were as follows:
Neck: 8.0k
Bridge: 8.86k
There's plenty of lead wire on both pickups. I find the '335' style of guitars use a little bit longer lead wire than Les Pauls, as such, there's plenty of lead wire for either style of guitar. The neck has a little over 12", and the bridge is a little over 10", both of which can be seen in the pics. The pickup covers are in excellent shape, and they come with the adjustment screws and springs. These pickups are in excellent shape, and work as they should.
I'm selling the pickups "As-Is" and I do not accept returns. I've described this listing to the best of my abilities, and have included many pictures for you to examine and to see if these pickups are for you. Please look at all the photos closely, and let them be your guide, along with the description here. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability, so please feel free to ask them.
SHIPPING
I will ship your pickups promptly and securely. I cannot be held accountable for lost or damaged packages from the mail. But our mailing system is pretty good and I've yet to ever experience a problem. But just to be sure, I will make sure the package is sealed up good, with lots of padding on the inside so your pickups can't shift inside the package during the mailing process. All packages will include a tracking number for shipping safety and piece of mind knowing your pickup is on its way.
Thanks for looking!
