Available today is what I believe to be an original soldier named Civil War era 1885 Cavalry Saber Belt with Brass Hangers. The leather is starting to get dry with surface cracking and flaking and would benefit from a good clean and feed but is still able to be safely handled. The brass fittings have verdigris present as pictured with a name marked on the interior of the belt.  Unfortunately there was no plate included with the belt when I received it. A great piece to display that is still in good condition for its age.
