The Fostoria glass company marketed their well known and popular elegant glass line American from the mid 1930s through the early 1980s. This handled deep bowl is from this era. The Fostoria glass company marketed their well known and popular elegant glass line American from the mid 1930s through the early 1980s. Most likely a serving bowl for a casserole or a side dish at the dinner table. The bowl measures 13” handle to handle and 8 1/2” across the top. It stands just under 4” to the top of the bowl rim. This item has been used quite a bit in the past as the bottom shelf wear visible. I also included a picture of a chip on one of the points at the rim. Due to the condition, I am listing this at a very low starting bid in auction format. I believe this shape is a little harder to find but definitely a functional service piece. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
Thank you.
