Heuer Autavia Reference 1163 "Viceroy" — Automatic Chronograph — Circa 1972
Few vintage chronographs carry a more colorful origin story. In 1972, Heuer partnered with Viceroy cigarettes to offer this watch — the Autavia 1163V — for just $88 via cigarette pack vouchers, against a retail price of $200. What started as a promotional watch became one of the most beloved vintage Heuers in existence, and one of the definitive examples of early 1970s motorsport culture on the wrist.

Why This Watch
The Viceroy has seen an increase in value of around 64% between 2010 and 2025, and it remains among the most collectible of the "Big Three" vintage Heuers alongside the Monaco and Carrera. Unpolished examples with original hardware are increasingly scarce. This is a genuine collector's piece with one of the best backstories in vintage watchmaking.
