This auction is for 6 comics created by me, Steve Peters. They are all first printings; Everwinds #1-4 were published by Amaze Ink/Slave Labor Graphics; the others were published by me under my Awakening Comics imprint. The Amaze Ink 1st printings are somewhat rare.

When Everwinds #1 came out, Amaze Ink described it as follows: "This series is a tapestry of parables richly woven with Native American  legends and lore. A shaman and his elk friend are confronted by a  strange visitor. The archetypal trickster, Coyote, rears his devious  head in a retelling of a tale by the Pawnee tribe. May the Great Spirit  guide this book into your hands for you will find it an entertaining  tale of magic and mystery. Plus: one-page "jam" appearances of  Lethargic Lad, drawn by Greg Hyland, and a conjured demon, drawn by Dave Cooper." On the last page, the shaman, whose name is Fur Face, shows his visitor, a fox spirit, that Everwinds is a crossroads reality, full of magic portals.  In a jam drawing, we see various characters peering in through the portals: Groo and Rufferto drawn by Sergio Aragones , a couple of demons drawn by Gahan Wilson , a scene drawn by David Chelsea from out of his book on perspective, a couple of Rabbit Hell characters drawn by David Nowell, Melvin G. Moose drawn by my brother, Jeff Peters (of Comicology.tv fame), and Patty Breen drew her autobiographical character from her Kiss and Tell comic.

In Everwinds #2 and #3, Fur Face the shaman decides the group must eat some strange mushrooms in order to solve the mystery of the fox's origin. Much chaos, confusion, and psychedelia ensue. A virtual reality wizard takes the form of the evil shaman Broken Neck and engages in mortal combat with Fur Face. When Fur Face's spirit is captured by the cybershaman, it's up his fox spirit companion to travel to the underworld to try and get him back. The storyline includes a 1-page jam with Dave Sim highlighting his character the Judge from his amazing comic, Cerebus. In one panel, he even drew the Judge morphing into my elk character, Wapiti, which was quite a trip for me! It also features an appearance of the classic character Arzach that I asked Moebius to draw for me at a comic book convention in New York. It's not quite as involved as the Sim jam; he just doodled a quick sketch of Arzach riding his pterodactyl and that was it, but it is a part of the story. I was actually pretty impressed with how he did it; it was like he went into a little trance and it just flew off his pen, no pencils, no frills. The fox also bumps into another shaman, the hard-boiled Muktuk Wolfsbreath, in a one-page jam appearance drawn by Terry Laban.

In issue #4, the Everwinds guardians are confronted by three bloodthirsty amazonian  warriors who are out to kick some butt. One of the lads will fall in love...the others just fall. Diana, the orange-colored robotic-looking character on the cover, is an homage to the popular Micronauts toys from the 1970's. Plus: a one-page jam with James Kochalka (tying in with his book, Magic Boy and the Word Of God), a "Mouster US" fake ad written by Nat Gertler, and a 4-page Avichi story illustrated by CD Regan.

In Awakening Comics #3, realities collide in a cosmic continuity crisis when an interdimensional rift rips through the Everwinds.  A blazing battle with babes, 'bots, and bad guys. Lots of exploration of apolcalytic imagery from various cultures.

Runner's Paradox continues the story of Runner the Fox, and shows what he's been doing since he left Everwinds at the end of Awakening Comics #3: The Everwinds Awakening War. The comic began its existence as a 24-hour comic and was colored and completed after the 24-hour comic event.

I am happy to list any of these comics by itself on eBay. Message me to let me know which one you're interested in and I will create a listing for you.
