A IMO nice SIKIM PANJANG from Aceh North Sumatra.  This is NOT my forte but about 35-40 years ago I bought a grouping of SE Asian swords, knives and/or daggers from the grandson of a man who had traveled the world BEFORE WW2. I know this and the other Sikim Panjang I am listing are at least 86 years old but HOW OLD ? I cannot say. I did list these on a FB grouping to find out exactly what their origin was and I believe this Sikim .. is correct.  Photos show more than I can explain. Blade length  21 1/4"   or   54cm O A length   29 1/4"   or   74.5cm  Thickness of blade at base is 3/8"   or  10mmCarved wood (mahogany?) handle w/brass ferrule The guard is carved but not sure what type material. Scabbard has nice tight wire wrapping with top & bottom of tin? metal with intricate designs. Even wire wrap has slight design on one side. Blade is straight with pitting and the dark spotting but still very strong/sturdy. Also has the blood groove running 2/3's of the blade. Not sure if this type blade was used for hunting, chopping and/or for fighting but is a formidable weapon. Also not sure of the price but if more fine if less I will be dropping when relisted. Have another longer Sikim listed.  Any questions just send me a msg or k a l l
