Vintage Plectron Chief FM Radio Receiver, frequency 46.06 MHz, tone 1500 CPS. This is a vintage emergency/fire alert receiver made by Plectron Corporation of Overton, Nebraska. Rear tag shows serial number R3A3-21758 and shipped date 11-10-64.

This is the older red metal-cased Chief model with front speaker grille, volume control, tone monitor control, squelch control, rear antenna jack, remote speaker jack, reset controls, and built-in cord storage bracket.

Tested for basic operation: unit powers on, produces hum/audio, and the squelch control responds. Reception has not been verified because the receiver is fixed/tuned to 46.06 MHz and that station/frequency is not active in my area. Because this is a frequency-specific vintage alert receiver, it may need service, alignment, antenna setup, or re-crystaling/re-tuning depending on intended use.

Cosmetically it presents well, but shows normal vintage wear including scratches, scuffs, paint loss, rub marks, and general wear to the red metal cabinet. Front panel and grille show age/use wear. Rear paper label is present and readable with some edge wear. Power cord shows age discoloration. Please review all photos closely.
