This auction is for a fantastic and unusual Vendome signed 1960's era brooch.  This design combines several elements that were popular in  luxury costume jewelry of the period.  Large emerald green pear cut rhinestone centerpiece, gold-tone textured openwork frame, decorative twisted rope-chain loops, cascading tassel fringe with dangling faceted green and dark emerald crystal beads.  The twisted rope chains and waterfall tassel give this brooch a dramatic "runway" look.  The brooch has a heavy cast backing and multi-component assembly, with individually attached tassel strands and faceted glass stones rather than molded plastic.   Stunning brooch in great vintage condition!  This brooch measures 5 3/4" from the top to the bottom of the dangles.  Very unusual, sculptural design.  PLEASE NOTE:  Although all my jewelry listings will be marked that returns are not accepted (due to eBay's change of policy from 14 day returns to 30 days).
