This is a handsome men's Baume & Mercier Capeland Classisma chronograph swatch. It is a special edition of this line with the casback engraved with the drawing and formula for the mathematical “Golden Ratio” used to design the elegant Baume & Mercier symbol. It has a very fine vintage style with a thick domed acrylic crystal.  The dial has both telemeter and old-school tachymeter indicators.   I love the curved pushers and large B&M embossed crown.

The watch is in good cosmetic condition overall and looks great on the wrist.  The dial and hands are superb. The acrylic crystal shows some light scratches, but they do not detract from the looks of the watch.  These can be easily polished out by your local watch-shop,  jeweler, or on your own with some polywatch.  But I would wait until there are more, since it looks fine now. The case has a number of buffs and and other marks consistent with light wear.  I did not get this watch with its original B&M strap, so I put it on a new tan-colored Barton leather strap that matches the watch well.

This watch is powered by the Swiss made Valjoux 7753 movement.  All functions work as they should and the watch runs well.  Note that the date is changed by depressing a small pusher on the case side at the 10 o'clock position. I do not know the service history of this watch.

The watch comes with its B&M presentation box.  These Capeland Classisma chronograph models currently sell for over $2,000 for the regular models.  This one is the hard to find Golden Ratio special edition. With my ultra-low starting bid, you will not likely find another this nice for less.
