Beautiful, remarkably preserved pair of antique 1937 Dutch Boy and Girl cloth folk art dolls. Standing at an impressive 22 inches tall, this matching pair features hand-painted, molded mask cloth faces with striking blue eyes, vibrant red lips, and yarn hair (braids for the girl, a textured bob for the boy). They are dressed in beautifully preserved, highly detailed traditional Dutch costumes complete with coordinating knit scarves and knit stockings. Condition:

Good antique condition, especially given their nearly 90-year age. Both dolls feature clean, structurally sound cloth bodies with all fingers intact and minimal seam wear. The hand-painted faces show some authentic vintage aging, surface dust, and light storage smudging/patina, but the paint remains bright and highly legible. The original clothing is beautifully intact; colors are strong with minor age-appropriate dust and wrinkling from storage. There are no major rips, heavy staining, or bad odors. Please note that the boy's hat is completely unattached/removable.
