This is a stunning antique French ciel de lit / bed couronne. It forms the decorative surround of a centre piece from which drapes could be hung above a bed and would be a superb addition to a château chic boudoir.
It is made in brass and has acanthus leaf detail and a central crest.
It has two holes on the back bracket for fixing to a wall.
The ciel de lit is sturdy. The brass has retained it's golden glow.
It measures:- W 52 cm (20.4 inches) x D 26 cm (10.2 inches) x H 9.5 cm (3.7 inches).
It weighs :- 1.47 kg.
