The Nikon Ai Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 is a classic standard lens from Nikon’s Ai era.

Introduced in the late 1970s, it features a traditional double-Gauss optical design, delivering clear, natural rendering. At wide open it produces a gentle softness typical of the film era, while stopping down yields excellent sharpness and contrast—hallmarks of vintage Nikkor optics.
