"Black Lamb and Grey Falcon" by Rebecca West published by The Viking Press in October 1941. First Edition hardcover of two volumes in a slipcase. Bound in black cloth with illustrated pastedown on front cover and blue top stain. The slipcase is wrapped with an illustrated paper band. The box measures 6.5 x 9.75 x 3.5 inches. Rebecca West tells the story of her travels through Yugoslavia in 1937 with her husband.
The pastedown on the box is chipped and worn with paper loss. Volume I is missing the dust jacket. The DJ on Volume II is worn on the spine with a chip and small tears. There is some text block edge foxing and the top stain on Vol I is splotchy. Both are lightly faded near the spine. P.O. stamp on half title page of both volumes.
