Up for grabs is a crisp, highly collectible pair of vintage Dungeon Magazines (Adventures for TSR Role-Playing Games) published by TSR, Inc. This lot covers consecutive odd-numbered releases spanning late 1993 to early 1994. Packed with module blueprints, campaign-ready encounters, and exceptional black-and-white fantasy illustration, these issues are a goldmine for active Game Masters.
The lot includes the following two issues:
Dungeon Magazine #43 (September/October 1993): Features a spectacular fire-breathing dragon cover illustration. Highlights include Jacob's Well (AD&D solo/low-level crawl), Mayhem at Midnight (Dragonlance adventure), and Into the Silver Realm.
Dungeon Magazine #45 (January/February 1994): Features a sharp, atmospheric Gargoyle-themed cover layout. Packed with multiple module systems and SideTrek mini-campaigns.
Comprehensive Condition Report & Photo Breakdown:
Both copies are in fantastic, tight mid-to-high grade condition. They have been handled carefully and stored properly flat.
Covers & Perimeter Alignment: Front and rear covers retain excellent surface gloss with deep, rich blues and purples. As shown in 27084.jpg, 27083.jpg, and 27082.jpg, the perimeters are flat, square, and show minimal edge wear or color flecking. The spine stapling is firm and free of tearing.
Table of Contents & Core Text Blocks: Opening the text pages reveals highly secure bindings. As pictured in the Issue #43 content directory (27078.jpg), the text gutters are deep and show no structural loosening or tracking issues. Original full-page marketing layouts, such as the classic TSR Forgotten Realms and Ravenloft product order forms (27091.jpg), are entirely intact.
Adventure Graphics & Text Pages: Internal feature pages are bright and highly legible. Layout titles like Jacob's Well (27075.jpg), Gritzel's Guidance (27093.jpg), and SideTreks (27088.jpg) display great ink crispness with no margin annotations or page dog-ears.
Dungeon & Overland Maps (CRUCIAL FOR MODULE COLLECTORS): The most significant detail for buyers is that the reference charts and battlemaps have zero player or GM markings. As shown in the Dobay to Zvern overland tracking grid (27077.jpg) and the Forest and Clearing / Wyndlass Lair module layout (27074.jpg), there are absolutely no pencil tracks, ink coordinates, or campaign modifications. The grids are completely clean.
