This particular specimen is extremely nice, very aesthetic and well set in the display. It measures 12cm from the outer teeth, around the slight curve of its body (as if it were swimming through a current) to the tip of its tail. Excellent condition, clean, treated, dried stiff, and forever preserved mounted on a sturdy wood base. All fins and teeth on this fierce fish are in excellent shape.

A tough fish, living in South American fresh waters, the aggressive Red-Bellied Piranha is an omnivore eating anything organic. Plants, fruits, leaves, insects, worms, fish, dead animals, and even bites from larger species are all on the menu. The piranha's teeth are all, needless to say, razor sharp.
