Zestek SCX Steering Wheel Control Panel for BMW M2, M3 and M4 (F87, F80 and F82) with Factory Steering Wheel Functions, VeloLink Wireless and RGB Buttons

Zestek's own communication chip, an independently installable OEM protocol adaptor, lets the SCX talk to the BMW M2, M3 and M4 (F87, F80 and F82)'s factory electronics, so the factory steering wheel functions keep working with an aftermarket wheel. The SCX is built for cars that still run their OEM ECU.

The VeloLink OBD module in the kit has feedback lights that show real-time vehicle status, and the 2.4G VeloLink system takes up to six wireless devices. Add VeloLink wireless switch modules and the SCX can run up to 16 customisable switches for functions such as exhaust valves and ESP.

Please note: a boss kit is needed to fit the SCX to the car. Choose Include Boss Kit: Yes to add it, or buy the Zestek boss kit separately. The steering wheel is sold separately. The photos include the optional OMP Targa and Zestek carbon fibre 330mm steering wheels, which are not included.

Not suitable for: non-M F-series models, which need the SCX for the non-M F-series, or the G8X M2, M3 and M4, which have their own listing. The SCX needs the car to run its OEM ECU, so cars on a standalone ECU need the Zestek SCX Pro Standalone ECU Only.

Installation

The SCX replaces the factory steering wheel and mounts to the column with a boss kit, so we recommend fitting by a professional installer. Check that your chosen wheel suits the SCX before ordering, and get in touch if you're not sure.

Upgrade Further

Will my factory steering wheel buttons still work?

Yes. Zestek's OEM protocol adaptor keeps the factory steering wheel functions working with the car's OEM ECU. If there's a particular control you need to keep, tell us before ordering and we'll confirm it.

Do I need a boss kit?

Yes. Choose Include Boss Kit: Yes and we'll supply it with the panel, or the Zestek Racing Boss Kit BMW FXX GXX is the one to suit it.

Will it fit my steering wheel?

The SCX suits most 350mm and 330mm aftermarket wheels with a 6 x 70mm PCD, although clearance can be tight on a 330mm wheel. Get in touch if you'd like us to check yours.

Does it work with a standalone ECU?

No. The SCX is for cars running their OEM ECU. Race cars on a standalone ECU need the Zestek SCX Pro Standalone ECU Only.

How is the SCX different from the SCX Pro?

The SCX uses a carbon composite front panel. The SCX Pro moves to full dry-compressed carbon fibre with a metal rear housing, revised paddles with a wider adjustment range, RGB lighting with brightness control on the panel, and an optional separate motorsport CAN connection.

Is the SCX road legal?

Zestek states that its products are for off-road and motorsport use only. Rules vary from country to country, so check with your local authority.
