This is an original & genuine 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Corps Division LEMY 1965 cruisebook / yearbook / log.

Did not see another of these from this very first Vietnam 2/3 United States Marines regiment in our research.

U.S. men from the Far East unit fought there until 1969, when President Nixon began a withdrawal of troops.

Unit sailed from Camp Pendleton (San Diego) on the USS MANN ship to Okinawa in late 1964, then flew to Mactan Island and Subic Bay in the Philippines, Fuji, Japan, and then to South Thailand for maneuvers.

They then spent a few days in Bangkok before deployment "In Country" to the Viet Nam front lines in April, 1965.

Very rare publication resembles a high school annual, and all soldiers are individually pictured inside.

An example page of the layout for each division or platoon from the battalion is shown in the maximum 24 photos.

PLEASE first ask if the soldier you are looking for is inside before purchasing- we will be glad to check.

We did not see any markings inside this 94 page hardcover, which measures approximately 11-1/4" x 8-1/2".

It is in "Good" or better condition, with small cover wear and light stains from storage and handling.

Binding is tight, and no pages are loose or falling out inside this piece of early 'Nam War history.
