The GLS being the proud successor to the GL, it is the perfect car to transport up to seven passengers on all roads, and with style and comfort to boot. The version developed by AMG is notable particularly due to its engine (a 585 hp Biturbo V8) built entirely by hand by one single engineer. Given the two and a half tonnes of SUV it has to carry, the engine is definitely not overkill.
