Many companies both here in America and especially England produced pieces using a popular design depicting begonia leaves. Often times the entire plate would resemble the shape of the aforementioned foliage. One use of the motif thought to have originated from the Thomas Forester & Sons firm depicted multiple leaves overlapping in assorted colors. These examples were marketed in plates as well as footed Compost and cake stands. This nice example glazed in organic hues with splashes of pink has a beautifully textured top. The base is solid green also revealing begonia foliage.  The piece stands 2 1/4” Tall and measures 9 1/4” diameter across the top.  In used condition with a distinct hairline from the edge running to the top of the footed base on the backside with the crack also visible on the front about an inch in from the rim. I also included several pictures of minor worn areas on the high spots of the design on top and several glaze nicks on the rim. Even with the issues, it still is a beautiful item for display. Due to the condition, I am listing this in the “buy it now“ format at a price lower than similar undamaged examples. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.

Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.

Thank you.
