Offered is an antique Stanley No. 60 1/2 Low Angle Block Plane, one of Stanley’s most popular and versatile woodworking hand planes. Introduced in the early 1900s, the No. 60 1/2 features a low-angle, bevel-up cutter design and an adjustable mouth, making it especially effective for trimming end grain, fitting joinery, chamfering edges, and fine finish work. The model remained in production for decades and is highly regarded by woodworkers and collectors alike.
Its compact size allows comfortable one-handed operation while still providing precise control. The adjustable throat opening enables the user to tailor the plane for either fine smoothing cuts or heavier stock removal, making it a valuable addition to any hand-tool woodworking shop.
Overall in great shape with a nice clean sole and mouth. Iron and cap are in good shape as well as the adjustable front plate.
