Exterior: The red velvet exterior is in good vintage condition with minor shelf wear and light surface dust consistent with age. No major bald spots or deep stains are present. The structural hinge remains tight, opening and closing securely with a firm snap.

Interior: Features a cream satin upper liner emblazoned with the iconic gold-stamped Mikimoto signature crest ("M" in a shell) and "K. MIKIMOTO, INC. GINZA, TOKYO." The lower base is lined in a deep navy blue velvet insert with two original precut slits designed to hold a pair of earrings. There is very minor age-related discoloration on the fabric edges, but it is free of tears or significant staining.
