This is a 1951 Rand McNally "Atlas and Globe Revision Supplement". Rand McNally included a redemption coupon inside atlases and globes sold during World War II, promising buyers a future supplement (this supplement) that would reflect all the boundary and territorial changes resulting from the war's outcome. The supplement was delayed for six years after the war ended because several peace treaties that never materialized. 

This supplement contains some of the first post-WWII cartographic political border reorganizations across the globe which set the stage of the East vs West Cold War that defined global politics for over 40 years. 

Approx. 11" x 14" with 16 pages and 20 maps; stapled-bound softcover. 

Good condition for its age - some obvious blemishes on the front and back covers but maps are in good condition.
