Offered here is a complete mid-1960s Masudaya “Densha Kaban” (Train Satchel) conductor role-play set, retail branded Shinseido’s Toy and made in Japan during the early Shinkansen era.

Produced shortly after the 1964 launch of the Kodama Shinkansen, the box artwork features the iconic 0-Series bullet train, Tokyo Tower, and period Japanese city scenes. The Masudaya “M” flower mark appears on the packaging.

The set remains complete and includes:

• Original illustrated satchel box with carry strap
• Tinplate “Express” penny whistle (Made in Japan)
• Period metal ticket punch with Tokyo registered trademark mark inside the head
• Printed ticket strip
• Internal display insert.
This is a genuine mid-Showa era railway conductor play set — not reproduction parts.

Condition is very good for age. Colours remain bright and attractive. Box shows honest edge wear and light handling marks. All components appear original and correct to the set.

A scarce complete example, especially with whistle, punch and ticket strip present.
