The Loudspeaker is a 1934 American comedy about a fast-talking, ambitious young man who works as a radio announcer and gets involved in a series of romantic and professional mix-ups while trying to advance his career in the early days of broadcasting. His over-the-top personality and schemes constantly land him in humorous trouble with his boss, colleagues, and love interest.
The film is a light, breezy Pre-Code comedy typical of low-budget 1930s studio productions, with plenty of snappy dialogue and radio-era charm.
It stars Chester Morris as the energetic announcer, Marion Nixon, and William Gargan in supporting roles.
