These have only just been found at my parents and not seen the light of day since 2002... they look brand new - plus other CD's given out at the conference - see photos.
The Visual Studio Live! conference (commonly known as VSLive!) in 2002 was highly focused on the historic official launch of Microsoft's Visual Studio .NET. While the mega-launch event occurred in San Francisco on February 13, 2002, the 2002 conference circuit featured presentations by key Microsoft leaders detailing the massive shift toward XML Web Services and the .NET framework.

Orlando, Dave Reed, Microsoft General Manager of XML and Data Technologies, Keynote address at VSLive! discussed key directions Microsoft will take in continuing to implement XML in its data access products and shaping the choice of evolving technologies and standards.
As General Manager of XML and Data Technologies for Microsoft, Dave Reed drove the direction of XML and Data Access. Dave is responsible for technologies such as MSXML, System.XML, ADO.NET, ODBC, OLE DB, and the SOAP Toolkit. Prior to leading the XML efforts at Microsoft, he was on the original development team of Microsoft Transaction Server 1.0, through the release of COM+ in Windows 2000. Before joining Microsoft in 1995, Dave developed Saber-C++, a UNIX-based C/C++ programming environment at Saber Software, Inc.
