The Great Flamarion is a 1945 American film noir about a cold, perfectionist vaudeville sharpshooter who falls obsessively in love with his beautiful but manipulative assistant. As their professional act becomes a sensation, his growing jealousy and her deceitful nature lead to betrayal, obsession, and ultimately tragedy.
The film is a dark, atmospheric noir with strong performances and a classic fatal-attraction storyline.
It stars Erich von Stroheim as the obsessed Flamarion, Mary Beth Hughes as the seductive assistant, and Dan Duryea as her scheming husband.
