The City of the Dead is a 1960 British horror film about a young American college student who travels to a remote New England town to research the history of witchcraft for a school project. She soon discovers that the seemingly quiet town is still controlled by an ancient coven of witches who perform human sacrifices to keep their power alive. As she gets closer to the truth, she becomes the next victim in their deadly rituals.
