This exceptional collector piece features a beautifully preserved deep gloss black glass base with matching faceted pyramid-top black lids, twin removable original glass inkwells, and matching original pen rests with brass-tone fittings.

The geometric architectural styling is classic Japanese Art Deco, combining elegant minimalism with bold Streamline Moderne influence. The rich reflective black glass finish gives the piece remarkable display presence rarely seen in surviving examples from this era.

Importantly, the original DBK Rising Sun maker’s seal remains attached, reinforcing its authentic Japanese provenance and collector appeal.

The black glass retains a beautiful deep gloss finish with outstanding reflective qualities. The geometric pyramid lids remain sharp and present superbly under light. Original glass inserts remain intact.

This piece has clearly been very well looked after over the decades and presents far better than most surviving examples from the period.

Only light age-related wear and minor patina consistent with genuine vintage age.
