Up for sale is an incredibly unique piece of late-1980s baseball history. This is an authentic, true vintage Richardson Pro Model "Player's Cap" team-spec uniform hat. Featuring a bold red crown and brim with a beautifully embroidered white cursive script "R" on the front panel, this style perfectly mirrors classic 1980s Minor League franchises like the Reading Phillies, Richmond Braves, or retro Tacoma Rainiers aesthetics.

(Factory Ghost Error):
This cap features a fascinating manufacturing quirk! Directly to the right of the cursive "R" logo, there is a visible, faint "ghost imprint" of an original letter "L" that was stitched and patched over at the factory. Back in the late 1980s, Richardson supplied blank hats directly to sports outfitters and teams. This panel was clearly started for an "L" named team (such as a local league or collegiate club), corrected on the fly, and over-embroidered with the current "R" logo. It makes for an amazing, one-of-a-kind conversation piece that proves its genuine team-issue heritage.
