Chief Picketpin (also known as Wihinpaspa) was a respected Brulé Sioux chief of the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota in the late 19th and early 20th century. Families like the Picketpins held on to their traditions and cultural pride during a time of great change on the reservations.
