Homer Laughlin in East Liverpool Ohio began making numerous ceramic pieces in 1834. Over the years, many popular dinnerware lines have been produced, with its colorful Fiesta line probably being its most well-known. Homer Laughlin is one of the few large potteries still making pieces in the United States today.
This listing is for a Fiesta tea server lid with a dark pink glaze. With several similar dark pink glazes used by Homer Laughlin over the years, I'm not sure of era made but this could be their Rose or Flamingo pink glaze.
It is about 4-1/2 inches in diameter and 2-1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial. It has the well-recognized Fiesta concentric bands around the top.
Because it is just the lid, it is unmarked. The tea server itself did have the distinctive "Fiesta" mark but it was broken beyond repair.
It is in fair vintage condition - crisp details - no chips, hairlines, crazing, or stains. As seen in photo 1, there is a blemish at about 5'o'clock on top of the lid that is shown in closer detail in photo 6. It is a glazed-over factory flaw that almost looks like a tiny speck of clay or something was not cleaned off before the glaze was applied. This would still be a good replacement piece for a tea server without a lid or just to add to a colorful Fiesta collection.
Ships USPS.
