This is a delightfully pretty antique French curtain dating about 1900. It is in a gorgeous pink roses cotton print. 

The print is to die for! There are medallions of roses suspended on a turquoise ribbon. Each medallion has a turquoise bow crest. The colours have faded to perfection with the passage of time, the turquoise now being just a hint.

The curtain has a deep hem. The top is gathered and is sewn with metal loops. The right hand side is hemmed, the left hand edge is formed by the selvedge.

There are two seams running down the curtain, one 81 cm (31.8 inches) in from the left hand side and one 25 cm (9.8 inches) in from the right hand side. The pattern is well matched at each seam.

The curtain has been laundered but some marks remain (please see photos). These are minor and do not draw the eye.

The curtain measures :- 199.5 cm (6 ft 6.5 inches) long x 188 cm (6 ft 2 inches) wide at the bottom and 136 cm (4 ft 5.5 inches) wide at the top.
