Welcome to The Textile Trunk ~ Thank you for over 25 wonderful years of helping bring these beautiful antique textiles and decorative items to life again!
What a GORGEOUS textile!~ This is a beautifully faded French damask curtain dating to around 1900 or earlier!~It's woven in a reddish-pink cotton with a striking floral and foliate pattern. The back is interlined and lined in a natural cotton, making it wonderfully insulating and ideal for blocking light. I was so lucky to have found this as part of a pair! If you’d like to view the matching curtain with more fading on the other side, simply search my store for the word: rosy ~
The damask is soft with time and has that incredible antique patina that only age can create. It’s perfect for hanging as a curtain or using in a creative interior project — or even simply displayed as stunning, unique wall art handmade in France over a century ago!
