A rare collection of poetry that was collected and arranged to be published by the legendary American poet Robert Frost (1874 - 1963), the only person to have won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry on 4 occasions.   My personal favourite poem of his is the lovely 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening ' (1922).  I would also recommend listening to the song adaptation of this poem by the late great Scottish singer-songwriter Jackie Leven.



The author of these poems is Robert Frost's youngest daughter Marjorie.   She died aged only 29 in 1934, of a fever following childbirth, a year after marrying Willard E Fraser.  This poetry collection is her only work, published posthumously 2 years after her tragic passing.  The book is named after one of the poems.   Franconia is a small town in New Hampshire, where the Frost family lived for a few years when Marjorie was a young girl.   The house is now a poetry retreat and museum called The Frost Place.

Internally in near fine to fine condition with no ownership inscriptions, pages are clean and tidy save for small blemish to page 7.  


Externally in near fine condition, original binding of oatmeal quarter cloth over highly decorated orange paper boards, paper title label to the spine, light wear and rubbing to corners, boards are bound a little out of parallel.
